Intramural – Rules

For all divisions and grade levels
  • All players must wear shin guards and cleats
  • Players should have fun and coaches should display and encourage good sportsmanship.
  • All players must receive fair playing time.
  • JEWELRY MUST BE REMOVED and cannot be covered.  A child wearing jewelry is a safety hazard to him/herself and other players and is ineligible to play.
  • NO slide tackling allowed.
  • NO headers allowed.
  • Show respect to the referees and let them do their jobs. “Dissent by word or action” is a violation of the rules of soccer at all levels.
  • Foul language or disruptive behavior by players, coaches or spectators subjects them to ejection from the field and/or the program.
  • NO dogs allowed on the field at any time.
  • KINDERGARTEN thru 1st GRADE – opposing teams on OPPOSITE sides of the field. Meaning coach, parent, and players of same team together on the same side.
  • 2nd Grade thru 6th Grade – coaches and players on one side, ALL PARENTS on opposite side of field.  Just like Travel Soccer.
  • NO coaches or spectators allowed behind or on side of goals.

 BOYS Kindergarten Rules

  • Non-competitive. Scores and standings not recorded.
  • Use of #3 ball.
  • Four 10 minute quarters.
  • Improper throw-in given a second chance.
  • No offside will be called.
  • Corner kicks taken from corner.
  • Pinny rules DOES NOT APPLY
  • Only ONE coach allowed on the field.

 

BOYS 1st Grade Rules

  • Non-competitive. Scores and standings not recorded.
  • Use of #3 ball.
  • Four 10 minute quarters.
  • Improper throw-in given a second chance.
  • No offside will be called.
  • Corner kicks taken from the corner.
  • Goal kicks from the 6yd box.
  • Scoring player wears pinny until another player on either team scores.
  • One coach allowed on the field.

 

 BOYS 2nd Grade Rules

  • Non-competitive.  Scores and standings not recorded.
  • Use of #4 ball.
  • Two 25 minute halves.
  • Improper throw-in given a second chance.
  • No offside will be called.
  • Corner kicks from the corner.
  • Goal kicks from the 6yd box
  • Scoring player wears pinny until another player on either team scores.
  • Parents to stand behind player’s box.
  • NO coaches allowed on field

 

BOYS 3rd Grade Rules

  • Non-competitive. Scores and standings not recorded.
  • Use of #4 ball
  • Two 30 minute halves.
  • Proper throw-in technique required – no do-overs. Ball to opposite team on violation.
  • Offside WILL be called.
  • Corner kicks taken from the corner.
  • Goal kicks taken from 6yard box.

  • NO coaches allowed on field.

 

BOYS 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade Rules

  • Non-Competitive.
  • Use of #5 ball
  • Two 30 minute halves.
  • Proper throw-in technique required – no do-overs. Ball to opposite team on violation.
  • Offside will be called.
  • Corner kicks taken from the corner.
  • Goal kicks taken from 18 yard box.
  • Goalie has 6 seconds to release the ball.
  • Scoring player wears pinny until another player on either team scores.
  • Parents to stand behind player’s box.
  • NO coaches allowed on field.
